Enzymes

Enzymes are biological catalysts naturally present in all living organisms: micro-organisms, plants, animals and human beings.

Enzymes are proteins that either launch or speed up chemical reactions, without themselves being altered.

Since prehistoric times our ancestors have been using enzymes, attributing some magic explanation to the 'forces' which were turning milk into cheese and barley into beer. 

Today enzymes are used in an ever growing number of different applications.
Their use allows food manufacturers to optimise the use of raw materials, to reduce energy consumption and to introduce environmentally friendly practices. Being natural proteins, enzymes are 100% biodegradable.
